Challenge
Accruent's Maintenance Connection product needed a late-cycle sales tool to close a gap in the buyer journey: prospects understood the category but couldn't model what switching to Maintenance Connection actually saved them. The marketing site was also bleeding speed and conversion — front-end framework choices made early had calcified into page-load problems that hurt every paid acquisition dollar.
Approach
Wore two hats — Web Product Manager and Front-End Developer. Built a custom front-end framework to replace the page architecture that was dragging load times, then layered a Cost Savings Calculator on top as the late-cycle sales tool. The calculator took prospect inputs (work orders, technician headcount, downtime cost) and returned a tailored savings figure that sales used in deals already in motion. A/B testing across both the framework rollout and the calculator placement informed iteration.
Outcome
+42% lead acquisition on the marketing site after the framework swap, -33% page load time, and +13% conversion through A/B testing on the calculator and adjacent pages. The calculator became a standard tool in the late-cycle sales motion for the Maintenance Connection product line.
